Weekend Marriages / 주말부부

 

My husband and I are newlyweds who tied the knot in February 2023.

However, due to our long commutes, we only get together on weekends.

Taking the 3-hour journey each time is challenging, but thinking about what to do together on the weekends has become a joyful part of our routine.

 

We've made it a rule to do things together every Saturday. 

We usually work out together, going hiking or playing sports like badminton.

Last week, we visited Namhansanseong portress.

As we hiked up the mountain, my husband supported me from behind when I got tired.

It felt great to get some fresh air.

 

We enjoyed some shaved ice at a cafe on our way back home, and we went to bed early.

We may be physically apart during the week, but that day reminded us that we're always close in spirit.
